Alexy spent her childhood in the small town of Frinton-on-Sea on the East Coast of England. She attended the Central School of Art, London, and The Institute of Education, London University. After living for a year in the Middle East she immigrated to the United States of America in 1976 and now lives in Boulder, Colorado, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Alexy has taught drawing and painting for many years and has illustrated numerous books.
